Hi, I'm Tom Busch, the founder of Busch's Handmade Wines & Meads. Thank you for taking the time to visit out page to learn more about what we do. Please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone with any comments or questions. Thank you!
Busch's Handmade Wines & Meads was founded in my college house at the University of Cincinnati where I am currently a chemical engineering student. I was inspired by friends of mine and the internet to start brewing fruit wines and meads. It started off small with my first attempt being a 2 gallon batch of cranberry wine that I decided I was going to gift to friends and family for the holidays. Although it was far from perfect, I thought it turned out well, and my friends and family thought the same. After seeing their reactions, I caught the homebrew bug. I went all out, buying all of the equipment, picking up additional larger carboys, and even building a custom wine making station to alleviate some counterspace for my undoubtedly annoyed roommates. I began with larger batches, and I refined my process, churning out higher quality products that I am proud to share. As for now this business is just for fun. It is a way for me to play pretend chemical engineer in my house, and bring me and my friends together over a drink. I am proud of how far this has come and I am excited for that the future holds!
My mission is to produce the highest quality fruit wines and meads using the best quality ingredients available. I place a high priority on maintaining thorough sanitization throughout the brewing process as well as bottling to insure excellent wine quality. No wine is bottles that doesn't meet my stringent standards of taste, clarity, and color. If you are intersted in the ingredients used in any batch please click the link below.
